LANOLIN

The wax sheep produce to weatherproof their wool, purified to cosmetic grade. It is one of the few moisturizers that behaves like human skin lipids: it holds up to twice its weight in water and forms a breathable seal instead of a greasy film. That seal is the whole trick: moisture stays where your skin can use it. It is why our balm relieves the dryness that causes under-beard itch instead of perfuming it. Because it mirrors the lipids your skin already makes, it settles into the surface rather than sitting on top of it, which is why rough, flaky skin under a beard softens instead of just feeling coated.

FULL INGREDIENT LISTS

Exactly what is in each product, matching the printed label. No proprietary blends, no “fragrance” hiding a list of unnamed chemicals.

Beard Oil (1.5 fl oz / 45 mL) — Organic Jojoba Oil, Organic Argan Oil, Organic Lanolin Oil. Three ingredients, nothing else. The Unscented version adds no fragrance of any kind; Bourbon adds a light fragrance and is the only scented option.

Beard Balm (2 oz / 60 g) — Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Beeswax, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Microcrystalline Wax, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Equisetum Arvense (Horsetail) Extract.

Allergen and suitability notes: the balm contains sweet almond oil, a tree-nut derivative, and beeswax, so the balm is not vegan. Both products contain lanolin, which is derived from sheep’s wool — anyone with a known lanolin or wool-alcohol allergy should avoid them. The beard oil contains no nut-derived ingredients.

BOAR BRISTLE ON SOLID WALNUT (THE BRUSH)

100% first-cut boar bristle, and we burn-tested it to be sure: real boar keratin singes like hair, fake “boar” melts into a nylon bead. Ours singes. That matters because boar bristle is scaled keratin, the same protein as your beard, so it drags sebum and product from the skin out to the tips where dryness starts, exfoliating the skin underneath as it goes, gently enough for the sensitive skin this whole line is built for. Two passes a day trains growth direction and kills the frizz that makes beards look thin. The handle is solid walnut, a dense hardwood, not the bamboo or softwood on most brushes at this price. It is the part you will still own in ten years.

CARRIER OILS

Lightweight plant oils chosen for absorption speed and a fatty-acid profile close to your skin’s own sebum, so they sink in instead of sitting on top. This is the “oil” in beard oil: the delivery system that gets conditioning to the skin at the root, where dryness and beardruff actually start. WHAT’S NOT IN HERE

No added fragrance, no essential-oil “natural scent” loopholes, no drying alcohols, no silicones pretending to be shine. Synthetic and “natural” fragrance alike are among the most commonly reported contact allergens in grooming products. If your skin has ever hated a scented product, that was probably why.
